It all started when I was 12 years old, sitting beside my mother as she taught me to sew. I was hooked from that very first stitch — and I never looked back.

Over the years, sewing became the thread woven through every chapter of my life. I've decorated three homes, and made clothing for a husband, two daughters, and four granddaughters. Creating beautiful things brought me joy like nothing else — but for many years, a busy work life kept my sewing machine quiet.

Then 2020 changed everything. As the world came to a standstill, I finally found the time to return to my creative passions. I picked up my needle and thread, and Elegant Home & Family was born.

In 2026, a new dream came to life — designing unique and fanciful fashions that give you something truly special: a piece you won't find in any store, not mass-produced, not imported. Many of my creations are one-of-a-kind, crafted from unique or rare fabrics, and everything in my shop is handmade right here in Waterford, Connecticut.
